We transform clinical reseach by connecting healthcare data, scientific expertise and innovative technologies. These combined resources support the integration of clinical research in primary care and foster understanding of how patients with chronic conditions are treated. The goal is to make a positive and measurable difference on the process of care taking into account requirements of patients and all stakeholders in healthcare.
Less than 20% of all clinical trials manage to complete recruitment in time. Our innovative technology supports participating primary care physicans to identify potential patients for clinical trials phase II-IV while complying to ethical standards and data privacy regulations.
By means of multiple protection mechanisms, we provide data protection according to the strict rules of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, DSGVO), as well as medical confidentiality. Information about individual patients will not be disclosed to us or our clients. Any transfer patient’s data is subject of written permission; hence data will solely be passed on by means of the principles "Privacy by Default" and "Privacy by Design". Personal data will be aggregated and anonymized, so that without the explicit consent of the respective institution our clients will not be able to track down individual data. The aggregated data will not be regarded as personal data; thus, the delivered results will no longer meet the limitations of the BDSG (or the GDPR/DSGVO).
IRICA solutions are monitored, controlled, and transparent. The main data source is the primary ICT system of the medical facility. Data will be automatically pre-selected and reviewed by an authorized practitioner. Systematic errors will be identified and fixed in the primary system until the practitioner is satisfied by the quality presented by the system. When the practitioner acknowledges the result set, this anonymized result set (containing no personal data at all) will be sent to us.
IRICA solutions integrate directly with the primary systems of the participating medical facilities. IRICA adhere to safe and transparent processes. Thus, the medical facility always is in control of their data.
